Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Collection Week
Operation Christmas Child 2021 // Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Collection Week will be held November 15-22 at The Edge at Warren Augusta.
Sharing the love of Jesus, through the power of a simple gift, with children around the world.
Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization. Each year we join with OCC to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ. These simple gifts are shipped to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease.
Shoeboxes will be available on both campuses beginning Sunday, Oct 31.
Collection week will be Monday, Nov 15 through Monday, Nov 22 at The Edge.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN 2021
OPTION 1: Build a shoebox online
For $25 you can pack a virtual shoebox that will be filled by Operation Christmas Child and sent to a child somewhere in the world. You identify the gender of the child receiving the box, the age you’re packing for, and the items included. OCC does the rest!
BUILD A SHOEBOX ONLINE
No physical shoebox drop off is needed.
OPTION 2: Purchase items online; Pack at home
With many people concerned over virus exposure, one option is to purchase shoebox items from an online retailer. Ship those items to your home. Pack a traditional shoebox. Print a label and pay for shipping. And then deliver your completed shoebox to a contactless drop off location in the CSRA.
OPTION 3: Pack a traditional shoebox
Pack a shoebox as you have in years past. Print a label and pay for shipping. Deliver your completed shoebox to a contactless drop off location in the CSRA.
Warren Baptist Church will once again function as a contactless drop off location for Operation Christmas Child. The Edge building on the Warren Augusta campus (3231 Washington Rd, Augusta, GA 30907) will allow for vehicles to escape the elements, pop their trunks, and an OCC volunteer can remove their donations. There is no need for those donating shoeboxes to leave their vehicle.
