The Shroud of Turin is a mystery that continues to intrigue people throughout the world. Who is the Man of the Shroud? Some believe he is Jesus of Nazareth. Others are skeptical. CSRA residents can make that decision for themselves after visiting Warren Church Augusta Campus and touring the Who Is the Man of the Shroud? Experience. The exhibit – including an officially licensed museum-quality replica of the Shroud and other pieces – will walk you through the first Easter, testifying to the death, burial and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. You are invited to explore the science, history and Scriptures related to the Shroud in this free traveling exhibit, which is open to the public.

The Shroud experience begins with an 8 minute video in the Worship Center. The full experience will take 45 minutes-1 hour.

“The Shroud of Turin is a blood-stained linen cloth that bears the mysterious image of a crucified man believed by many to be Jesus,” said Pastor David McKinley. “It is one of the most scientifically studied archaeological artifacts in the world, yet modern science cannot explain how the mysterious image on the Shroud was formed. We invite everyone from our community to explore this fascinating mystery with our church.”

Who Is the Man of the Shroud? Experience features a full-sized, authorized, museum-quality replica of the Shroud of Turin and other pieces related to the historical death, burial and Resurrection of Jesus, such as:

  • Roman Crucifixion elements: crucifixion nails, flagra (scourges or whips), spear
  • Replica of first-century Jewish burial tomb (3D-printed)
  • Life-sized black-and-white mapping panels of the shroud (front and back images)
  • Life-sized bronze statue: a six-foot-long figure depicting the crucified man of the Shroud
  • 24 full-color, informational panels and infographics
