Honored Guest FAQs
Yes, all honored guests MUST complete our Registration Form. Spots are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Registration will close once we reach capacity, or December 20 whichever happens first.
We will open a waitlist and contact people from the waitlist if spots open.
During registration you will be asked to choose an “arrival window.” Please do your best to arrive during that window in order to keep drop off running smoothly. You will be sent an email with a reminder of your “arrival window” leading up to the event. The email will include a video detailing the drop-off procedure.
Upon drop-off, honored guests will be matched up with their buddy for the evening. They will then either have their shoes shined or their hair and make-up freshened up. They will receive a boutonniere or a corsage and take a walk down the red carpet where they will be crowned as a king or queen.
There will then be a variety of activities that they can participate in including karaoke, special activities, dinner, and of course lots of dancing!
After dropping off your honored guest we will direct parents/caregivers to our VIP Respite area. At least one parent/caregiver must stay during the event so that you can be reached in a timely way if needed and we also want a chance to celebrate and pamper you. Due to space limitations, we are only able to accommodate up to two parents/caregivers per honored guest.
In the VIP Respite area you will be served a catered dinner. The red carpet will be live-streamed into the VIP Respite area so that you can watch your honored guests big moment on the red carpet. Following dinner and dessert there will be special activities celebrating you!
Following the special activities there will be a time toward the end of the evening that you will be able to watch the dance floor from our walking track above the gym and have a last dance with your honored guest, if you choose.
Volunteer/Buddy FAQs
Yes. Every volunteer MUST register to be on campus for Night to Shine. Volunteers that are not registered will not be permitted to serve. We require all volunteers to complete our Safe Haven process which includes an application, background check (for 18 years old and over), and child safety video. The Tim Tebow Foundation also requires each volunteer to attend a Night to Shine Training. This training is required even if you have served with Night to Shine in previous years.
There will be a place on the registration form to make a note of that. Someone from our team will reach out to you by email. Once you receive the information please be sure to complete the steps as soon as possible.
You will need to attend only one training session. On your registration form you will choose the training session that you will attend. If you need to change that for any reason, please contact us at together@warren.church.
Training Sessions:
January 12 - Simmons Hall, Warren Augusta – 12:15-1:30 (Lunch Provided)
January 26 – Simmons Hall, Warren Augusta – 12:15-1:30 (Lunch Provided)
January 29 – Chapel, Warren Augusta – 6:15-7:30
A “buddy” is an individual 16 years old or older that accompanies and assists an assigned honored guest throughout the evening, providing companionship and any assistance they may need during the event. You will eat dinner with them, dance with them, and participate in any activities that they choose to be a part of.
The minimum age to volunteer as a buddy is 16 years old.
High school students under 16 years old can volunteer in any role (with the exception of the role of buddy).
Middle school and elementary age students can volunteer as part of the paparazzi accompanied by a parent.
Registration is required for each person. Individuals not registered will not be able to serve.
We encourage buddies and other volunteers that will be interacting with our honored guests to dress up in semi-formal/formal attire or black pants and a white shirt.
Some specific groups may have other attire recommendations that will be communicated to you by your team lead.
Please arrive beginning at 4:00 PM and no later than 4:30 PM and enter through the Warren Sports and Fitness doors. Pizza will be served.
