Read … May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. Romans 15:13
Remember … You are the God of hope — the source of hope. I praise You today as the initiator of the covenant that brought hope to the world. I praise You as the mediator of this covenant of hope. And Jesus, I praise You as the One who fulfilled this covenant with Your loving sacrifice.
Reflect … I thank You for the rest I receive because of the hope I have in You. Joy and peace are also benefits of Your hope, and I am grateful. It is a blessing to know that my confident and sure expectation is in You, Jesus!
Renew … Please show me those who need Your hope today, God. Give me eyes to see and a heart to discern the brokenness that surrounds me. Then give me boldness to declare Your hope to a lost and dying world. Continue to soften hearts and make them ready to receive Your hope. In the One whose name is Jesus, amen.
Hope, the guaranteed expectation enabling believers to look forward with joy, is in truth one of the greatest themes of Christianity and one of the supreme gifts of God.
