Read … But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil. Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful. Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven; give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you. Luke 6:35-38
Remember … You are the God Most High. You are infinite, all-wise, all-knowing, ever-faithful, eternal, steadfast, and true. You are a just judge, full of forgiveness and mercy. You are unchanging and You are holy. I praise You today, Father, for the abundance of who You are.
Reflect … Thank You for Your unfailing love, for rewards, Your compassion, and grace. Thank You for expecting better of me than I am able to offer on my own. Thank You for pushing me to be more like Jesus. As I reflect on who You are, I am reminded of who I am in You. Thanks be to God for “spilling over” onto me.
Renew … Help me love and do good for others expecting nothing in return. Help me to be kind and merciful, careful not to judge or condemn others. Help me to forgive as I have been forgiven by You. Train me to give a good measure, pressed down, shaken and running over as a way of life in my actions and attitudes. I pray this to the God Most High, amen.
There was a day when I died; died to self, my opinions, preferences, tastes and will; died to the world,
its approval or censure; died to the approval or blame even of my brethren or friends;
and since then I have studied only to show myself approved unto God.
