Christ Birth
What our pastors have said about christ birth, drawn from messages preached across our campuses.
In their own words
“And so what we're getting is this weird view of the birth of Christ, the life of Christ, and the ascension of Christ, but from a heavenly perspective. You see, John was the only gospel writer, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. John doesn't give you any picture in his gospel account of the birth of Christ. But here in Revelation, what he's giving you is a heavenly view of the birth, the life, the death, and the eventual ascension of Jesus from a heavenly perspective.”
Stephen Newman · Deliverance From the Great Delusion“You're a good, good father who's working it all together for our good and for your glory. in Jesus' name, amen.”
Stephen Newman · Intercession In Christ“So this is an important perspective. This fills in a lot of gaps for us in our faith and our understanding. And it's just an incredibly valid, historically relevant and accurate document for us to know and to read and to understand.”
Joseph Humphreys · The Gospel of Luke Introduction“I love how my friend Jack Graham said it when he said this. Our faith is built on the supernatural birth of Christ, the supernatural life of Christ, the supernatural resurrection of Jesus, and his supernatural return. Our faith is a supernatural faith in that we believe because God's word has been given to us.”
David H. McKinley · The King is Coming“But being a prophet, knowing that God had sworn in an oath that he would set someone on his throne, this God did by raising up his son, Jesus. Peter put the connection together. The Old Testament, the New Testament, it's all the testimony of the fulfillment of Christ. So if you're gonna believe in the virgin birth of Christ, you gotta believe in the resurrection of Christ because it's all about that.”
David H. McKinley · Resurrection“And today I want to go back and look at one of the most important and one of the most significant events in the life of Christ in history in a moment in time, but one that is so often overlooked. We begin the gospel of Luke with the story of the descent of Christ. Luke 1 and Luke 2 give us the most extensive details of the background of the birth of Christ and the arrival of the Christ.”
David H. McKinley · Looking Up and Living On“Jesus has done always, always births a love from our hearts and not criticism. Always births love.”
Stephen Newman · Grounded in Christ“And then in verse 12 it says because he poured out his soul to death and was numbered with the transgressors yet he bore the sin of many and he makes intercession for the transgressors. This is the work of Christ.”
