Glory
What our pastors have said about glory, drawn from messages preached across our campuses.
In their own words
“Just write down the reference for it. That way in your groups, you can discuss those texts a little bit more and open up those scriptures some more and break them down. So Pablo did a great job introducing the series, The Glory of God, and helping us understand a little bit of what this idea of glory is. I went ahead and Googled the word glory. Actually, I Googled glory, yes. So that's the adjective of glory. And so this is what it says glory is according to whatever pulls up when you Google it. It says, having worthy of or bringing fame or admiration.”
Austin Anderson · Glory of God Week 1 (High School)“In fact, I'm calling this message called to glory. And the reason I am is because most of the time when you hear that phrase, called to glory, you think about somebody dying. They are dead, so they've been called to glory. No, we've been called to live in glory to God in the church today. And so we want to be sure that we understand this call to glory that is upon our lives.”
David H. McKinley · Called to Glory“So it's both and. And we're going to start tonight. This is where if you want to turn to it, I'd appreciate it.”
Chase Cory · Glory of God Week 2 (High School)“And it was all for your glory and all for your purposes. I just say that today to say, do not despise the season of small things. God has wired and fashioned and placed you exactly where you're supposed to be for such a time as this, to be used for his purposes and his glory, but also to be refined for his purposes in the future. This message is to remind and reorient our hearts to what matters the most. Our hearts surrender to God in everything that we do for his glory. Pray with me.”
Stephen Newman · Working for God’s Glory“But then I'm going to talk to you all about how we are able to do these things. And so God's glory is revealed in man through praise, spiritual fruit and stewardship. These are three of the many things or the many ways that we can glorify God or how his glory can be revealed through us. Number one is praise. So what is praise? What is the definition of praise?”
Lorenzo Rodgers · Glory of God Week 3 (High School)
