Men
What our pastors have said about men, drawn from messages preached across our campuses.
In their own words
“Some of us do that anyway. We just kind of leave people hanging, but they followed Jesus. That is the important thing. Follow me and I will make you fishers of men. Have you ever noticed that from the very beginning, Jesus called these men to follow, but right in the message, the challenge, the call to follow was the clarification of a new mission in their life. Fishing was common. Fishing was their livelihood.”
David H. McKinley · Men's Forum Week 3“We all need positive reinforcement and good motivation in what we do. You can't lead well anything, and you can't accomplish anything if everyone is poorly motivated. I think I've probably quoted this in every men's forum I've ever done.”
David H. McKinley · Men's Forum Week 2“And of course, many of the early followers of Christ were in prison. Peter was one of those. That one that was the very first one, Peter and Andrew, the first two men that he called, one of those men's name was Simon Peter. And after Christ's resurrection, as he went about, began to preach the gospel, Peter found himself facing great opposition. And on numerous occasions, he found himself in prison.”
