Read … Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:25-26
Remember … Father, I praise You today as the strength of my heart and my good portion. All things that come from Your hand are good. I honor You today with my life.
Respond … Forgive me when I fail You. I try, but so many times I’m trying in my own strength and not Yours.
Reflect … Thank You that You are enough. I don’t have to desire anything or anyone like I desire You, because You are completely sufficient
Renew … Help Your people – the church – understand that nothing should be desired more than You. Break us, Father. Get us to the end of ourselves and align us properly with You. When we are correctly aligned, nothing can touch us and Your work can and will be accomplished. Help us make You our portion forever. We love You, Lord, amen.
True brokenness is a lifestyle – a moment-by-moment lifestyle of agreeing with God about the true condition of my heart and life – not as everyone else thinks it is but as He knows it to be. – Nancy Leigh DeMoss
