Read … And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6
Remember … God, You are good and Your goodness flows from Your grace and mercy. I praise You today as the One who is excellent and perfect in all His ways.
Respond … I regret that I often doubt Your goodness. I get so caught up in my own little world that I fail to see things through the lens of a gracious and mighty God. Forgive me for this kind of selfish perspective.
Reflect … Thank You for promising to finish what You started in me. Thank You for not throwing in the towel when I mess up. Thank You for using the struggles in my life to bring me to full completion in Christ Jesus.
Renew … Help Your people – the church – be pliable in Your capable hands. Help us see struggles and conflict as an opportunity for Your power and greatness to bring Your church to completion. Help us surrender to Your refinement, and give us the grace to make adjustments where necessary. Help us be the church for Your glory, Jesus, amen!
Adversity is not simply a tool. It is God’s most effective tool for the advancement of our spiritual lives. –CharlesStanley
