Read … Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2
Remember … Jesus, You are enthroned in the heavens at the right hand of God. You are the perfecter. I praise You as the One who designed me, formed me, and is creating a masterpiece in me. You are great and greatly to be praised!
Reflect … I’m grateful, Father – grateful for the way You deal with me by teaching and instructing me. I’m grateful that I am complete in You because of what You did on the cross to make a way of forgiveness and mercy for me. I am thankful for You, Jesus, my perfecter!
Renew … Help me lay aside the sin that easily entangles me. Help me persevere as I serve You. Help me keep my eyes fixed on You so as I run my race I can be secure and stable. Give me the joy that comes in knowing, serving, honoring, and obeying You out of love. Allow me to be a positive witness to Your name for Your glory. Help Your church at Warren cling to You, look to You, and honor You as we run this race with faith. In Your most holy name, Jesus, amen.
You cannot look in His (Jesus’) face and doubt at the same time.
