Read … Hear my cry, O God, listen to my prayer; from the end of the earth I call to you when my heart is faint. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I … Psalm 61:1-2
Remember … You, God, are Lord and leader of my life. You are my rock. You are above all things and higher than any obstacle I face.
Reflect … Thank you for not allowing me to lead myself. Thank You for consistently pointing me to my rock, Jesus. Thank You for His Lordship over my life.
Renew … I surrender myself, my will and my own personal comfort zone to You, Lord. I ask you to help me follow my rock, Jesus, each moment as I submit my will to Him. Help me obey out of love and devotion to Him. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Prayer is not so much an act as it is an attitude –
an attitude of dependency, dependency upon God.
