28 Days to Pray: Day 4

28 Days_4_1200x675

Lord, I want to Make Prayer a Priority…

Read Philippians 4:4-8Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

As you pray today, begin by confessing your anxieties and worries to the Lord.

Lord, I thank You for …

  • Your peace in times of trouble
  • The blessing of answered prayer

Lord, I ask You for …

  • The ability to think on things that are true, honorable, lovely, and pure
  • The courage to do things that cause me fear and frustration
  • A heart that desires You above all other things.

And now Lord, I offer praise to You. You are true, honorable, worthy, and just.

Nowhere can we get to know the holiness of God, and come under His influence and power, except in the inner chamber. It has been well said: “No man can expect to make progress in holiness who is not often and long alone with God.”  Andrew Murray
