Read … And I will lead the blind in a way that they do not know, in paths that they have not known, I will guide them. I will turn the darkness before them into light, the rough places into level ground. These are the things I do, and I do not forsake them. Isaiah 42:16
Remember … I praise You today, God. Your Son, Jesus, is the light of the world. There is no darkness in Him. He is the One who prepares the way, makes the way and lights the way. He is the perfect guide.
Reflect … I am grateful to You, Father, for showing me the way. Thank You for being steadfast and remaining with Your people as they commit to do Your work. Thank You for the many ways we have seen You prepare us for Your work as a church. Thank You that when we do not know the way, we can count on the fact that You always do!
Renew … I ask You to help our church leaders focus on You and Your plans and not their own. I ask You to give them great wisdom as they move forward with Warren Grovetown and make every rough place smooth just as we have seen You do thus far. May we all keep our eyes on You, Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith as the One who knows the way and has already seen the outcome.
Jesus taught that perseverance is the essential element of prayer.
Men must be in earnest when they kneel at God’s footstool. Too often we get
faint-hearted and quit praying at the point where we ought to begin.
We let go at the very point where we should hold on strongest. Our prayers are weak because they are not impassioned by an unfailing and resistless will.
