Read … You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in your word. Uphold me according to your promise, that I may live, and let me not be put to shame in my hope! Psalm 119:114,116
Remember … You, Oh Lord, are a shield and shelter. You are my protector and defender. I offer You praise as the guarder of my hope and salvation.
Reflect … Thank You for the opportunity to share my hope with others. Thank You for using me to help advance Your Kingdom. Thank You for placing me in the paths of those who need Your hope.
Renew … Help me to boldly proclaim Your hope without fear of rejection or persecution. When I am rejected or persecuted for Your sake, cause me to take refuge in You. Help me to keep silent so that I may show love and grace to those who do not know You. Help me to allow You to be my defender and to be “blessed” when persecuted, knowing that the kingdom of heaven is my reward because of the shed blood of Jesus who was persecuted for my sake. In Whose name I pray, amen.
Today, many people are adrift morally and spiritually, confused and fearful — not knowing who they are or where they are going. We live in a world dangerously torn by hate and violence and conflict, and yet we feel powerless to do anything about it. Is there any answer? The Bible gives a resounding “Yes!” There can be hope, and there can be changed hearts and a changed society as we yield ourselves to Christ.
