Day 31 – Wednesday, March 5

Read … I say this not as a command, but to prove by the earnestness of others that your love also is genuine. For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.  2 Corinthians 8:8-9

Remember … Jesus, You are rich in mercy, love, and forgiveness. We worship You today as the perfect, sinless sacrifice for Your church.

Respond … Forgive the depravity of my heart that causes me to grumble about giving back to You what is rightfully Yours. You gave Your life for me, and sometimes I find myself upset when You ask me to give back a portion of the blessings I’ve received for Your Kingdom.

Reflect … Thank You for not leaving me the way I am but for continually transforming me into Your likeness in every way, Jesus.

Renew … Help Your people – the church – see the riches of Your life and love as You hung on the tree at Calvary for all who would believe. Because of Your extravagant love, cause us to be extravagant in our love for You by giving generously to Your church this week so others can know You. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The ultimate test of man’s conscience may be his willingness to sacrifice something today for future generations

whose words of thanks will not be heard.”  – Gaylord Nelson
