Read … Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. Psalm 1:1-3
Remember … You, Oh Lord, are my delight. You are a refreshing stream of living water that gives life.
Respond … Forgive me when I delight more in walking with the wicked than I do in communing with You.
Reflect … I am grateful that You delight in me and that in You I can yield good fruit that lasts for eternity.
Renew … Help Your people – the church – continue to bear fruit that lasts. As we walk this journey of multiple campuses, help us look to You for guidance and cling to Your hand of provision, not our own. Make Your church like a tree planted by streams of water – a prosperous church that seeks to bring the lost to You and disciple them to be used in the Kingdom for Your glory, amen!
The church that is not jealously protected by mighty intercession and sacrificial labors will before long become the abode of every evil bird and the hiding place for unsuspected corruption. The creeping wilderness will soon take over that church that trusts in its own strength and forgets to watch and pray. – A. W. Tozer
