Day 3
Lord, I want to Make Prayer a Priority…
Read 1 Timothy 2:1-6: First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time.
As you pray today, begin by confessing to God that you are sorry for your sins. Ask Him to bring to mind any unconfessed sin you have in your life so you can ask for forgivness.
Lord, I thank You for …
- The gift of my salvation
- Your work of sanctification in my life (The transformation process of God working in your life to make you more like Jesus, day by day as you follow Him.)
Lord, I ask You for …
- A soft heart so I can become more like You.
- Salvation for ____________ (Think of someone you know who needs to follow Christ.)
- The willingness and commitment to “do good in Your sight”
And now Lord, I offer praise to You. You are my light and my salvation. You are my strength and shield. You are trustworthy and true.
Do not strive in your own strength; cast yourself at the feet of the Lord Jesus and wait upon Him in the sure confidence that He is with you, and works in you. Strive in prayer; let faith fill your heart-so will you be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. – Andrew Murray
