Discipleship

We want to help you grow in the Lord as you seek to love Him with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.

"And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love." - Ephesians 4:11-16

Equip Strategy Pillars

Below are the 4 pillars that support our EQUIP strategy:

Core Discipleship:
- Example: Foundations Classes, Men/Women’s Bible studies
- Outcome: Establishes biblical fundamentals in the lives of believers so that they may know God and experience Him through the Scriptures (establishes culture/identifies new leaders)

Community Discipleship:
- Example: Life Groups, Joy Club
- Outcome: Allows individuals to experience the love of God through the lives of others and the crucible of community.

Life-on-life Discipleship:
- Example: D-Groups, Mentorships
- Outcome: Individuals experience spiritual growth through life-on-life discipleship and are equipped to replicate these discipleship relationships with others.

Legacy Discipleship:
- Example: Warren Residency
- Outcome: Individuals are trained and equipped to minister where God calls them for the greater Church and future generations.

Foundations Classes

Foundations is a 4-part discipleship program to help you build your knowledge of God and to strengthen the foundations of your faith. Whether you are well-versed in the Bible or brand new to the church, these classes will help you to see and savor God's Word as you become an ambassador of Jesus Christ. These classes are safe, active learning environments where participants have many opportunities to practice articulating what they believe and sharing the gospel with others in the classes. Together we will grow to become a Great Commission people.

These four core classes consist of: Bible, Beliefs, Disciplines, and Deeds. They each focus on the fundamentals; loving the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength and loving your neighbor as yourself (classes that travel from head knowledge to heart knowledge).

Each of these classes are roughly 10-weeks and consist of 12-15 people. Think of it as a short-term Life Group. For 10 weeks we study hard, love well, and develop tremendous community in the process. We hope you can join us in the future! Below are brief descriptions of each of the classes.

Testimonials

The Foundations class helped tie together the recurring themes throughout the Bible, and prove that Jesus is the foretold prophet from the Old Testament. I never saw that proof before. I also never really had a way to outline the Bible very clearly and, through repetition, I feel pretty confident now. - Belvedere participant

This was my first Foundations class. It will not be my last. It was amazing to have such an experience from the brand new to studying the word to the vast knowledge of experienced followers and everything in between. I never felt uneasy asking a question, I knew everyone would pitch in and help me understand. Looking forward to the next one. - Grovetown participant

Throughout my time going through the Foundations classes, I have developed a deeper understanding of the Bible and what it means to be a Christian. I have seen God move in ways I didn't think possible before and have seen my faith mature as I have been drawn into a more intimate relationship with God. I truly believe that everyone should go through these classes as they have had such an amazing impact on my walk with God and understanding of Scripture. - Grovetown participant
