28 Days to Pray: Day 20

28 Days_4_1200x675

Lord, Teach Me to Pray through Pain …

Read 1 Peter 5:10: And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

As you begin your prayer today, confess your anxious thoughts to the Lord. Hold nothing back as you look to Him for guidance, peace, and direction for the day.

Lord, I thank You for …

  • Restoring my soul as I come to You in prayer
  • Strengthening me and giving me endurance as I go through my day

Lord, I ask You to …

  • Confirm in me a true understanding of the suffering of Jesus, so I may live in light of what He has done for me on the cross
  • Establish in me a fixed and firm foundation of truth based on the Word of God so I won’t waiver when things get difficult

And now Lord, I praise You, for You deserve all worship and praise. You are faithful and all-sufficent. You are sovereign and mighty. I look to You for all things today as I walk in the light of Your presence.

O, let the place of secret prayer become to me the most beloved spot on earth.  – Andrew Murray
