Read … There is one body and one Spirit – just as you were called to one hope when you were called – one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. Ephesians 4:4-6
Remember … God, You are over all, through all, and in all. You are all-sufficient, all-knowing, Lord and Father of all. You are to be praised!
Respond … Sometimes Your church does not have an “all for one and one for all” perspective. Instead we fall prey to our flesh and seek our own personal preferences. Forgive us, Lord.
Reflect … Gratitude is the overflow of my heart today – gratitude for Your willingness to forgive and forget and for Your ability to teach and grow Your people.
Renew … Help Your people – the church – lay hold of your vision for unity. Help us have an “all for one and one for all” attitude. Just as Jesus said, “I and the Father are one,” enable Your church to say, “We are one with the Father.” We need a single-minded focus – You! In the name of our Savior, Jesus, amen.
The unity of Christendom is not a luxury, but a necessity. The World will go limping until Christ’s prayer that all may be one is answered. We must have unity, not at all costs, but at all risks. A unified Church is the only offering we dare present to the coming Christ, for in it alone will He find room to dwell. ― Charles H. Branch
