Read … And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved. Acts 2:42-47
Remember … You are a generous God. You give and give and give! You are an intimate God. Desiring fellowship and relationship with Your children. You are a God of wonders … majestic and holy … reigning forever and ever.
Reflect … I am blessed by Your giving nature. Thank You for making me the recipient of Your goodness and grace. Thank You for blessing me with the comforts of this life and for providing for all my needs.
Renew … God, will You renew my heart and replace any tendencies of selfishness that I may have with an attitude of gratitude and generosity? I acknowledge that all I have is Yours. It is a result of Your unfailing love and kindness toward me. Help me use the resources You’ve blessed me with to glorify You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
The world asks, ‘What does a man own?’ Christ asks, ‘How does he use it?’
