Today we are calling you to join us in the battle. Take time to pray through Ephesians 6:10-18. Visualize each piece of armor, thus arming yourself agains the schemes of the devil and his plans to attack us throughout the day.
Place on this armor with confidence that it is the Armor of God , for it has mighty power to fight against the spiritual forces of evil.
- Read the verse below.
- Read again, and after each sentence take a moment to pray and visualize arming yourself with the might of God’s armor.
- Pray for the power to stand firm in the Lord’s light for His glory.
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. -Ephesians 6:10-18
Thank you for praying this morning. Our hope is that prayer is a vital part of your daily life.
This upcoming Wednesday, August 18, we will be having our first gathering for prayer in the Chapel called Lifeline: Prayer + Praise. During Lifeline we will be intentional in learning and implementing tools for more effective prayer, we will hear brief testimonies of encouragement about prayer, and we will spend the bulk of our time in prayer. Please know you will never be asked to pray aloud if you are not comfortable doing so. Lifeline isn’t about that. Lifeline is a time for growth, a time for faith-building, and a time for strengthening your prayer muscles so that as a church we can be more effective and stronger for the Kingdom of God.
You can also follow along and join other prayer warriors on our Warren Prayer Facebook page by clicking HERE.
We hope to see you there!
Blessings,
